Equipment

  • 2 medium mixing bowls
  • 1 9" pie pan

Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 12 graham crackers crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted, 1 stick
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar

For the filling:

  • 1 pkg orange-flavored gelatin (Jell-O) 3 oz
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold orange juice
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 oz whipped topping like Cool Whip, thawed

Instructions

Make the crust:

  • In a bowl, mix 12 graham crackers,1/2 cup unsalted butter, and 2 tbsp light brown sugar until combined.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish.
  • Refrigerate while preparing the filling.

Prepare the filling:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve 1 pkg orange-flavored gelatin (Jell-O) in 1/2 cup boiling water.
  • Stir in 1 cup cold orange juice and 14 oz sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  • Fold in 8 oz whipped topping until fully combined and fluffy.

Assemble and Serve:

  • Pour the filling into the prepared crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  • Garnish with more whipped topping and orange slices, if desired.

Notes

For a tangier flavor, use orange juice with pulp.
You can substitute vanilla wafer crumbs for the graham crackers for a twist.
You can substitute any flavor gelatin for a variety of flavors.
